Pink Zebra Spring Rally 2014!

I’m SO very excited to be heading up to Austin, Texas today.   Tomorrow is our companies first ever “official” rally.  The one we attended in Houston back in October was a test run to see. Obviously it was amazing enough for Pink Zebra to schedule 4 rallies throughout the year.  Tomorrow there will be 7 locations all seeing our new line for the first time!!  My bags are being packed, laundry is finishing up, and then I’m on my way!!! I will take LOTS of pictures and post them when I return.

Pink Zebra Rallies!! 8 More Days Until The Spring Reveal!

I just have to say, I am SO excited about the upcoming trip to our companies first “official” rally!  February 3rd, Pink Zebra launches it’s Spring Catalog.  This is a very exciting time for us Zebras!  This will be my first time switching catalogs with PZ.  The excitement among all the consultants is such a joy to be a part of.  Lots of exciting new products are coming out and we get to take some home!!

RIGHT??

Our company is only 2 years old and I’ve watched it grow so much in just the past 5 month. It has really been amazing.  I’m grateful that God allowed me to be a part of such a wonderful team and have our own family business.  Who would have though?

I never imagined joining a Direct Sales company.  But God has a funny way of using heartache and turning into something you would least expect.  🙂

 

Oh and expect lots of pictures from the rally!  I will be receiving my Manager’s necklace.  WOOHOO!

Honey Bees!!

Kenan and I have been researching honey bees for a while now.  The benefits of raw honey alone are amazing for health. Whether you eat it or use it topically the uses are limitless!  Kenan suffers from seasonal allergies. He gets a couple of shots a year if not more. While looking for more natural alternatives to allergy meds and steroid shots.  My sister-in-law, Kara, over at Home With Purpose told us about her research and use of local raw honey.

We were hooked!

Since moving out to the country, bees have been on our top 10 list of things we NEED!   Some of our children’s friends and cousins stumbled upon a beehive in a tree in the back of the property.  Very sweet bees.  I would not recommend trying to play with them like I did.   I didn’t get stung but still, probably not a smart move for this novice bee “keeper”.

Here lately we’ve seen an increase in bee activity around the house.

We were given a chicken feeder by some of our good friends. It’s a yard feeder that holds a 50# bag of chicken feed.  The girls don’t eat much scratch or pellets though.  They prefer to free range, which makes our eggs taste delicious!!

We noticed that for some reason all of the chicken feed was getting drug out of the feeder and on the ground.  Odd, I thought, I dumped the feeder thinking that maybe it was just a bad batch or had held moisture from our rain a few weeks back.  I picked up another bag of feed, filled the feeder.  Within an hour I went back outside and the SAME thing had happened! Feed was everywhere BUT this time, I found the culprits in action!

The next day I went over to my friend Angi’s house. Her family keeps bees and does bee removal.  I was given a Honey Bee 101 course.  Aren’t I cute?

The next day I made bee food.  Sugar, water, and honey! Easy enough for this lady!  And the bee feeder? It’s an old dog food bowl with sticks in it.  The sticks float so the bees can land on them, eat, and not drown. (I had a DUH moment with my friend, Gabriel told me this.)  Simple AND easy!

Happy New Year to all of you!  2013 was a tough year for our family! We are excited to start a new year with a new goal.  After a lot of prayer and research we took that leap of faith last August and became a part of the Pink Zebra Home family.  Now with 2014 fresh and new we have an achievable goal for our family.  This is the first time in a long time I have been truly excited about something and I can see the Lord’s hand at work in our family business.  My husband became a consultant in October of last year.  It’s very nice to have 100% unity in our marriage as far as our short and long term goals are concerned.
